Applications for Exhibits and Performances closed Wednesday, January 17, at 5 pm. We are working quickly to confirm selected proposals.

MASSCreative seeks artists, cultural organizations, and creative businesses across disciplines to join us as featured exhibitors and performers during the 2024 Creative Sector Day at the State House on Wednesday, January 24.

Creative Sector Day at the State House is an opportunity to celebrate the vibrancy and diversity of the artists, creatives, cultural leaders, and organizations that strengthen Massachusetts. Throughout the day, we will host performances and displays by members of the creative sector in the Great Hall and the Grand Staircase. Performances and displays will be open to the public from 1 pm - 3 pm.

Performance Details

Performances in the Great Hall will have moderate sound amplification and limited access to power. Performances on the Grande Staircase will have some sound amplification support. Performers will have 10 minutes for set up, performance, and breakdown. We suggest performing about 5 minutes of material. Selected performers will receive an honorarium of $450.

Exhibitor Details

Exhibitors will receive a table to display work, past projects, and educational materials. Exhibitors will be provided either an 8’ rectangular table or a 6' round table available on a first-applied, first-served basis. There are no mechanisms to hang work in the Great Hall or Grand Staircase, exhibitors cannot fasten anything to the walls and we cannot provide easels. Exhibitors can set up between 12 pm - 1 pm. No sales may be conducted during the event. Selected exhibitors will receive an honorarium of $450.

Because the day is focused on Massachusetts’ creative sector, all performers and exhibitors - including nonprofits and creative businesses - must reside or be headquartered in the Commonwealth.
