Massachusetts Creative Sector Day at the State House is back on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 from 10 AM to 3 PM. Join us for the third annual public gathering of artists, creatives, cultural organizations, and advocates from across the Commonwealth to celebrate Massachusetts’ creative sector and to advocate for the funding and resources we need to better support artists.

Creative Sector Day will include opportunities for networking, a formal speaking program, meetings with your elected officials, and performances and exhibits from Massachusetts artists. Together, we’ll elevate the ways that the creative sector positively impacts Massachusetts communities, civic life, and the economy.

  • We’re showing up to take action on Creative Sector Day. Planning to attend is a first, but significant step!

What are some other actions that you could take on Creative Sector Day?

    1. Schedule a meeting with your State Representative and State Senator or drop by their offices. Bring something to leave behind and plan to share quick stories about your work, your creative community, and how they’re important to the district. If you need to look up your elected officials, use our directory.

    2. Ask your State Representative and State Senator to support our coalition’s FY27 Budget requests and the Creative Sector Agenda.

    3. Use your platforms to uplift the contributions of the creative sector and creative workers. Help us build public will for supporting and investing in the creative economy.

    4. Make sure to network with other creatives at the State House! This is a great opportunity to meet people who are doing really cool work across the state. While you’re talking with legislators and legislative staff, consider asking them how they participate in the creative sector, too - you might be surprised to learn who in the Legislature is a practicing artist.
